What did you get in the mail, 2023

My childhood yoyo… My original one’s axle snapped mid-throw and I’ve spent the last 6 months looking for a replacement but always have been too late or slow to pull the trigger. One finally popped up mint in original packaging, never opened. Had to get it.

Dang. I’m waiting on mine. Texas is holding my yo-yo hostage as usual. Monday maybe.

Mailday was pretty binary.

First impressions (only a few minutes throwing each) - The Klondike has a floatier feel compared to the BAE.
But before replying to your question I played them both back to back for a while longer just to get a better feel. The Klondike does feel just the tiniest bit lighter but it’s very minute.
Now I’m starting to prefer the BAE way more.
They play quite similarly, both are very smooth, can be moved quickly but if you push them both the BAE stays spinning for longer and remains stable whereas the Klondike although still very stable will die out quicker when being pushed fast/hard.

Fancy sewing kit, duct tape, and Tinder lanyard. Should last forever.

Thanks an awful lot, Bud! I remember having read about their ‚inspired by‘ approach etc, but that was kinda while back. There were other models available in a different store as well, if I remember correctly.

Anyway - interesting stuff! :v:

Thanks for helping me out on this one

Unfortunately, I’m located in Germany, so usually a pif doesn’t work for me…
