First up is this CLYW Cliff, it’s something I’ve always wanted/had in the back of my mind since I’ve been a kid. Such a one of a kind and fun feel. It’s listed as being just about 68g, but you wouldn’t have guessed that just from throwing it - the unique weight distribution makes it feel right around 66g. Threw this around 90% of the time I was at DXL yesterday (which was a blast)!
And second, we have a brand spankin new, yet to be released General Yo Legato II in this gorgeous purple. @the_general really outdid himself on this one tbh, it’s by far the best playing/performance based General Yo yet IMO - and I would know, I own most of em haha… it kinda reminds me of a GTR-JS on the string, which is something I wasn’t expecting at all (and is one of the highest compliments I can give). It’s all the smoothness you can expect from General Yo but with added competition edge. This is just one of those yoyos that you’ll try out at a meet or something down the line and kick yourself for not getting earlier. I was one of those people when the first Legato dropped, so would just like to give the heads up to those interested that you won’t wanna miss this one.
So… I get this package in the mail. I open it up and the contents are wrapped in newspaper.
Totally forgetting the contents, I straighten out the paper and start reading the article.
A Circus performer vanishes deep in the Canadian Forest. He was last seen heading towards a dense group of Maple trees in the direction of a Research Laboratory. The search continues….
Ok, back to the contents. A seriously good looking yo-yo! That also plays seriously good.
I contact the Maker and tell him the yo-yo is Great. But I had almost forgot the yo-yo while reading the article the yo-yo came wrapped in.
I asked Ray, ‘Hey homie, what a crazy article I was reading that you had used for packing. Do you know anything about this missing Circus performer’?
Ray said, ‘I know nothing about the search going on’.
I said, ‘How did you know there was a search going on? I didn’t mention anything about that part of the story’?
Ray said, ‘Lucky guess is all. Waste of time anyways. They will never find him. The story would prolly have a happy ending if Circus folks could read my No Trespassing signs’.
Oh, Ray, by the way, what is the name of this Aotus Colorway?
Ray let out a sinister laugh and said ‘Liquified Clown’.
Grail and Sparrow from an amazing trade made a few days ago. Grail is well-loved and has aged like fine wine while the Sparrow looks great but both play amazing! Been wanting these for the longest time and just feels like two distinct flavors of organic goodness.
Ay, caramba! But that the circus performer would then find the famed mountaineer from California, a person, mind you, thought to have been lost in the Arctic for more than three decades, and that the two of them together would then perform the absolutely breathtaking Front Angel Standing move is truly astounding.
I never got lost in the Arctic. I just fell into a refrigerator while reaching for a tray of ice cubes. It just took a while to get out. Thanks for liking my story. The story is absolutely positively 100% true except for the part I made up.
Clear Unprld Motif! The caps make this feel heavy and light… at the same time lmao. It’s great though. Nice tight binds, and smoother than if you ran your fingernail over freshly cleaned, high end glass. Maybe the smoothest throw I’ve tried in a minute which is surprising considering the caps… not sure who they sold their soul to in order to get it THAT smooth.
I received a package in the mail today by none other than @DocPop. With reckless abandonment, I tore into the box ignoring any warning labels. The box abruptly exploded:
I received this in the mail today I have been trying different side effects. I may do some yellow domes next. The brass domes feels a bit heavy. But the color when spinning is amazing, like spun brass on one side and spun gold on the other.
Does anyone know the color way name?
