Picked up the Inheritance Cycle. Again. Haven’t read it since middle school. Still an amazing set of books

I’m on a reread of the Locked Tomb series. Currently on Harrow the Ninth! Enjoying connecting all the dots I missed on the first read as it has a wild complicated plot haha.

This year has been the year of Sanderson for me. I read mistborn and mistborn part 2 (except the lost metal). I also read The Odyssey in preparation for the movie and am diving into the Stormlight Archive, which should take me a year or so at my pace.

Definitely check out the Scadrian System section of Arcanum Unbounded before starting The Lost Metal, it definitely adds A LOT of great context. He really starts opening up the Cosmere in The Lost Metal!

Yeah, that’s why I’m taking a break atp. I read the one with Kelsier’s adventures as a ghost, and I’m reading thru stormlight archive first before lost metal.

Just picked up Priory of the Orange Tree to read on vacation. I’m also on Book 4 of Dungeon Crawler Carl via audiobook.

I’ve consumed all the Cosmere content there is to consume at this point, and now I’m just waiting for Ghostbloods to come out :sob:

I also was given an assignment in my English class to write an essay analyzing a metaphor from a piece of media. So I decided on one of my favorite metaphors from one of my favorite books: “men without chests,” from this fine book

This is helping me to have a better understanding of the timeline of life. That’s one thing I really had no grasp of growing up until I started learning on my own

Only a couple of chapters left, and I can already say this is one of the most fascinating books I’ve ever read in my life.

Another fascinating book that isn’t going to take me long to finish.

I did finish my goal in time and have a newfound appreciation for epics. I went to see The Odyssey last night and it was a great movie. It really brought the story to life.

I’m going on to read The Aeneid now but plan on taking my time with this one.
