Best pocket throw in a long time. I had either this or its maple brother with me every where I’ve gone over the last week and half. Can’t put it down.
Over the last few years every time I play my 44 RPM The Surf I’m blown away at how well it plays and how much performance is packed into this underrated mono-metal. Today I’m set up for Freehand with Knot Bads and the one rubber YYF 5A May Balls.
I’m also throwing these in between random fits of photography with the new camera. This guy can capture HDR images in camera. I’ve never had one that could do that before. I think this picture turned out amazingly well! (Tom Kuhn Tom Cat, Crucial Heavy Cream)
Nice photo!!!
Thanks!
You definitely have a distinct style, very nice photography, makes this thread awesome.
Just out for a walk with Buddy…
Using @Legit_yoyostrings on this. Both are great. I don’t know why I don’t throw this more often. It’s all I’ve used today and easily in my Top 10.
ive been looking at a getting a black bird, also I’m glad you like my strings
One of those days… technically yesterday, or rather Friday, yesteryesterday was that day, but I was throwing’ these down, just didn’t have a chance to post it right away:
Man that’s such a class combo.
“May I have this dance? ”
Throwing this guy. Still my favorite, not sure what it is but I love this throw.
So, how do you make your favorite throw even better?
Drop in a YoYoRecreation platinum bearing.
Holy s#$!.
I thought I loved this thing before…
I can’t believe how smooth & quiet this thing is. Spin time? Yeah. We’ve got that too.
If you have a throw that might need an upgrade, I highly recommend these bearings.

I still feel the need for speed, the best part of unresponsive plays is going against the grain and going the wrong way. Playing 5A allows for the easy exit when you drop the counterweight.
