Imported from China, YYE will censor the source if I mention it. Lead is a boutique brand started by a Chinese yoyo champion. the Protagonist is considered a super highend flagship model. it is well worth the money. I loved the design specs on this so I couldn’t wait to order it. Super large stainless steel rims is the most standout feature of this yoyo. It’s definitely a yoyo getting carpet to avoid ruining it.

Been very interested in this yoyo, how does it play?

Looks nice but 61.3 g’s?? Yikes that is light.

Really love the shape. The rims slope downwards so it feels rounder in the hand.
With the weight it doesnt seem out of control or unstable. Very maneuverable, great binds.
Urges you to play with a light touch.
Plays a bit more relaxed than the noma

Yeah I was worried it would be anemic but doesnt feel like it. Quite balanced.

Have you tried anything else by them? I was looking at the vulkan a couple weeks ago but was ultimately turned off by it being narrower than i wanted/expected

I don’t know about a smaller diameter, but both of those are alleycat 650Bs.

AHHHH I found it, yess apparently the orange cat one (Bandalore’s edition) has a smaller diameter.

Cool!
