Aventus this AM. Landed my best finger grind ever this morning on it.
Love that colorway
Quick trip up to visit family today for some holiday celebrations, so this smaller case came with me. Have a bunch of cousins who are kids, so I figured mostly FH1’s were a safe bet in case they wanted to give it a shot
Free Solo today. Working through Miguel Correa’s 5A Tutorials - Level 1.
do you have an edge 22? I’m curious how similar the IQ plays to it or if not at all
Don’t own one but got to play with one for a few days. They felt very similar to me.
This plasitc yoyo is outplaying my $300+ titanium throws. C3 really really killed this. Instantly addicted as its smooth as glass, quick as can be on the string and stable is an understatement.
I’m buying two more
I’d argue most Bi-metals outplay Ti’s, not sure how deep into the performance rabbit hole you’ve gone but I highly rec looking into Turning point (MSG, Aster, Anubis have been personal favorites), YYR (personal faves are Inev, Toru 0.9, Chogo, Tone), Japan Tech, More C3s.
All make insanely great yoyos that are on a different level in terms of performance
Sure the bi-metals i can see that for sure but for a plastic body and stainless steel i was blown away by the stability and spin time. Never played a plastic that could hang like this thing does. Gonna take this one with me everywhere lol
Plastic ring hybrids are typically a notch above bimetals (depending on the design) since they are able to drop the weight distro in the body of the yoyo even lower for an even more aggressive min max setup
Just scooped up a Turning point Gachiska and Alnilam actually but havnt got to throw either. Now im even more excited to try an MG and stainless combo
A couple of my favorite throws today, Paladin and Invictus but today I took a stab and making my own yo-yo string. All 3 strings in this photo I made today. They seem to play decently well so far. Just gonna try to break them in before I render a verdict. First attempt (the one not on a yo-yo here) was a bit too thick and I made a couple errors in twisting it up.
