sadly i’ve only played the 2, but you make the 1 sound like something to seek out
1 feels narrower, which I think it is. 2 has an extra bump on the response area. It’s a good yoyo but I want to set the disclaimer, most of my love for it is nostalgic and I’m not considering it objectively
Hell yeah, the Inhaler sounds so gooood
I already mentioned it to them. They seemed surprised when I asked about making more. Apparently they weren’t aware how legendary they are. I bet they will make more if a few more people ask politely.
The smaller trapeze width bothers me too much on the Borealis 1. It makes my middle finger feel super claustrophobic, like the walls are about to pinch it. If my middle finger was either big enough to not fit into that gap, or small enough to not feel pinched I’d probably like it more. Borealis 2 is a bit heavier without feeling clunky, and feels so much wider in play from the greatly increased trapeze width. Zach won worlds with the B1 though so it’s definitely no slouch. I like the B1 for sure, but the 2 was just an improvement in every aspect for me personally.
But that’s against the rulessss, mannnnn… jk I probably would do the same. A good centering bearing really can make a dramatic difference in some yoyos vs others. And I love it when my appreciation for a yoyo evolves over time. Glad you’re enjoying the Inhaler!
Freshly Dirty Rooster (w/Bad Wolfe Co Slicc Shipping up to Boston) last couple of days.
This song was written by the guitar player about his father, but the chorus makes me think that it could be written about the yo-yo’s spin time.
What string is that? looks thicc!!!
The left is bulk Sochi
The right (pink) is venom strings by string lab they look best on proto blue IMO
