I’d choose the $400 just to know what it feels like to have something worth more than my bank account in my hand.

Are the Thorn spikes sharper than the spike side effects? :crossed_fingers:

Yes they are

I really wish they would make the spike side effects sharper. Even just a little bit.

I had my first attempt at dyeing a “POM” yoyo, a Topyo Cloud. Some thoughts about the throw first because I recently got it.

The Cloud is interesting. It is not very floaty as the name would suggest, but I’m sure you can naturally assume that from it’s weight (66g). It’s definitely stable, spins for a good time, and the the low friction response area makes it both easy to play and uninspiring (IMO). As to my main gripe with this yoyo; this is a cheap feeling delrin. When I grab my BoltXP, it’s like handling a bar of soap. The silky surface with the nice organic shape of the Bolt works to highlight the wonders of the material. Maybe it’s the toolpathing involved in production, maybe it’s the purity of the material they’re using, or just simply the design itself, but the cloud lacks in the flavor department, even though it plays as good as you could hope.

This is a good yoyo, albeit an easier contender for experimenting on. I used RIT Synthetic, started with Pink, let it soak for 6-7 minutes, and wasn’t happy with it’s color. It looked, well, skin colored. So I also purchased Purple, and just did that as a second bath, and ended up with this funky Watermelon/plum/rose color. An additional note; you can see it dyed differently where there’s more material, looks pretty rad, though. This was a fun project, and gave this throw a little character.
