Augusta again, this is a great top.
HP Hornet, this thing is a regen monster. Also kendama is going to drive me to drink. To be accurate I guess I should say drink more.
So artful!
Only string trick I can do is occasionally scoop it up off the ground and then accidentally drop it while trying to get a pic lol. The spin tip is a bit easier, but I find the challenge of the fixed more fun. Hoping to someday learn regens myself!
You can do it! The best advice I got was to just don’t stop until you get it. I had been trying on and off for years, but it really requires a focused effort (unless you’re 12😂).
Spin Top Workshop Sweetle.
I first watched How To Be A Player back around 2009, Chris Neff and Steve Brown were my introduction to spin tops. Neff and the folks that were on the itopspin forum got me through the initial impossible feeling complications that everyone goes through if they are trying to learn how to spin a top with the (usually too short Duncan string) and the cartoon instruction sheet that comes with the top.
Glad I stuck with it because tops are really fun.
Gosh the fade is so gorgeous on those.
I was gonna ask if you had any metal tops. How do they compare to plastic?
Generally the plastic tops are more pleasant to deal with, but I do really like the Spintastics quicksilver and hornet, both great for learning regens.
Fun old RipCord mod.
BTW, I just got notified that I post a lot in this topic and I should give other people a chance to participate…
So let’s go already people, post some pics!
No complaints from me, you’re our resident spintop enthusiast as far as I’m concerned lol, I look forward to your posts here ![]()
Others will post when they have some to share, but I would love to see what else people are spinning too!!
I only have the 2 (and a half) so I just don’t wanna flood it with the same tops over and over haha, especially when I can’t do fun poses like that
Keep posting! I guess we should all start posting more!
It’s taken 6 months but I finally got the tops I ordered earlier this year. Got a Muku, Ohruri, and Tsuru as an upgrade to my Hayabusa.
Time to start spinning again.
Those look super nice. ![]()
It’s actually such a game changer having so much more spin with these steel rings. I don’t feel like I have to sprint to complete tricks now.
I’m not confident enough in my skills to use my Tsuru yet though. 110g of koma is way too intimidating haha. Picking it up, it feels like a brick relative to my other tops.
And the steel rings really add to the look in a hot rod kinda way.
I suddenly feel less bad about sending the LK Glass through my cabinet window lol
