Warning! - Do not BST with clarencelvy!

man this thread just wont die. like i am happy that OP sent out the warning but the constant back and fourth is going to discourage someone from sending said warning next time. I figure it would be good enough to get a hey this guy did a bad thing and then maybe a few others yeah he did to me too then a follow up saying hey its been a month and guy did x or its a lost cause. Yall have good intentions but i think the word that comes to mind now is chill. Nothing anyone can do from a keyboard expect be happy they didnā€™t get got by this guy.

No one said anything for 3 days until someone mentioned they also got scammed 21 hours ago and got 1 response.

This thread was ice cold until you put it back on the burner

At 82 posts on a thread that probably should have been less than 10 damage already done. My comment at this point us more of a post Mortem. Iā€™m aware Iā€™m adding to the problem but problem be here already.

He mightā€™ve scammed 10 or more people by looking at the comments.

Iā€™d rather the community be overkill about scammers than not

Shows we really hate them

Bro takes the side of a scammer :joy::joy::joy:ā€¦ā€¦ what has this world come to

Yeah in not defending the scammer. Scammers scum. However this got more attention than it should have to be honest. Most people will see this thread and decide next time not to post cause itā€™s allot of attention and not worth the effort to warn others. I guess my point is yā€™all can like chill a bit.

I donā€™t understand this at all.

Wouldnā€™t someone want to get at much attention as possible?

The only downside to someone making this thread is getting a bunch of notifications that your thread is getting commented on. Is that really such a big deal?

Also that guy wasnā€™t responding to you

What is your issue here? If people want to vent, rant or rage about being scammed by the same guy; why do you care? What dog do you have in this fight?

If none then why even post here? You are just making the thread longer and causing even more discussion

Before the thread was pulled a little off-topic, Doc had asked some relevant questions of the latest person to report being scammed.
I donā€™t see an issue here personally, if people are being scammed Iā€™d like to hear the details as well.

Here is the ā€˜problemā€™ with your ā€˜viewpoint>

You donā€™t feel concerned because ā€˜youā€™ didnā€™t get burned.

In Criminal Law, there are Statutes of Limitation on this crime or that. If a criminal can go so many years without being apprehended, the Court will not generate a case because so many years have passed. < This is somewhat Puzzling to most folks because the crime(s) were still committed and if you were a victim that lived to tell the tale, you certainly wonā€™t forget or understand how your assailant can weasel out of their just punishment.

But, often, people not affected by these crimes will hear about them and simply suggest, ā€˜Hey, thatā€™s water under the bridgeā€¦ get over it and move onā€™. < But see how you would feel if somebody beat the Snot out of you and took you New IPhone. It doesnā€™t matter how mush time might pass, you would still be mighty angry about it!

Now, that being said, getting ripped off for a few $Hundred$bucks isnā€™t the same as getting your front teeth knocked out for your IPhone or somebody slugging your Mom and Jacking the New SUV you let her borrow to go get some milk, but the parallel of reality is still ā€˜there and validā€™.

People donā€™t like getting RIPPED OFF.

It does not matter how much time has passed or if it just happen, the experience will stay with the victims.

Voicing your opinion that a thread has gotten ā€˜too longā€™ is short sighted and without any concrete merit in logic.

Consider also that a certain number of ā€˜scammed victimsā€™ wonā€™t even speak up because they are just embarrassed and fail to become involved.

This Clarence seems to have elevated himself far above ā€˜suspect statusā€™.

This ā€˜easy Money gameā€™ seems to be his hobby.

Soā€¦. We put him on Blast. No statute of limitations. No 80 something posts is too long.
The thread should stay alive because there may be even more victims and Clarence does not seem to be addressing his mistakes ā€˜at allā€™.

Personally, I donā€™t like liars and I donā€™t like thieves.

He seems to be both.

This thread should stay alive to make ā€˜allā€™ aware of Clarence,

Nobody is forcing anybody to follow this thread.

And those that donā€™t care because they havenā€™t been personally ripped off or simply donā€™t feel any sympathy for the victims, should just move on and read something else.

Yeahā€¦ I agree with Doc here. Absolutely no problem bumping this thread and keeping it at the top IMO, especially since heā€™s likeā€¦ still actively scamming people. Someone should also post a pic of the yoyos he had for sale so itā€™s pretty obvious what to look out for. I canā€™t find the post ATM otherwise Iā€™d do it.

He pmā€™d me when I posted a looking for thread. He then emailed me outside of the forum. He provided plenty of pictures so it did not set off any red flags. Sometimes I like to take communions out into emails. It makes conversations easier wile I am at work. In hind sight it should have caused some concerns that he didnā€™t want traces of this on the forum.

Anyway, quite a lot of good posts on here. Especially yoyodoc, unluckyowl53 and yoyogeezer. As far as if this is too much and we should all chill. Sorry. Donā€™t agree with that. There are lots of other threads on here to read. If you donā€™t want to read this one donā€™t read it. Itā€™s a simple as that. You should not stop people from voicing concerns and talking about what happened and how it should be handled.

On another note I would love to hear from David or anyone else that thought clarance was making reparations. I am very interested to see how that came out. I am guessing it did not or else it would be posted here. Also besides another stall tactic email to me clarannce has done nothing to make amends in my case.

Following on @djqsrvā€™s request for information from others on the alternate arrangements that have been made, Iā€™m wondering why refunds are not possible. If his PayPal account is locked, which I can believe has been locked if his scamming has been reported, why not simply do a bank transfer?

Iā€™ve still been keeping tabs but just remained silent. Iā€™ve been told heā€™s made a group and has been trying to make up for everything. Is anyone here in said group and how accurate is that?

just a couple of cents, persistence gets results. iā€™ve been almost burned twice.

the first time, despite it being a f&f transaction, i did get my money back from paypal from his bank. i had enough evidence and issues with the transaction that they refunded me.

the second time, i hammered on the guy, made a post and one of my friends reached out to the guy. this was a g&s transaction where i didnā€™t get refunded (never sent the yo). paypal had stated i needed to escalate the case (watch out for that), which i missed in the conversation with paypal. however, my buddy mediated the situation and i got my money back.

nobody likes getting ripped off is the name of the game. donā€™t let these guys get away with ot, you can get results. be hella persistent, use all of your resources, bury paypal with evidence and info. the fact that individual #1 scammed me through ff (he sent a payment request, i didnā€™t realize it was set to ff because iā€™d never seen that before, be wary of that too), and i showed that he ripped off several other people bolsteted my claim.

thank you all for the info. stay well and bst safe.

Connor, He asked me to join some Facebook conversation but I donā€™t use Facebook. Even if I did, a group conversation on Facebook does not do anything to help move this to any sort of resolution in my opinion. He has ways of making a refund. If he truly wanted to fix this he could refund everyone. This Facebook conversation is just another way to stall.

Well Iā€™ve already stated I got my money back when I bought the Cliff. As Snacks said, be persistent. If you just cut straight to your bank/card company and provide every piece of evidence you can (this thread included) and maybe youā€™ll see results. In my case, capital one, I usually get the benefit of the doubt and get credited the money, but if the investigation goes the other way, that money is taken back immediately. A few years ago I was scammed as a seller on eBay with sports cards. PayPal was -$900 and I was devastated. I told the bank what happened, sent them message receipts, tracking numbers, even gave them my local UPS phone number (it was over 70lbs of sports cards) and it was resolved in my favor. Never say never. Nothing further to add, good luck and cheers.

Yeah you make no sense to me personally. Donā€™t use f and f is the lesson here if you canā€™t afford to get scammedā€¦.

Dude has a weird way of thinkingā€¦ itā€™s okay to be weird
