Tungsten or Osmium rimmed yoyo?

It has?? Where? What model? I’m curious :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Doing some searching looks like Eli and Baby Dert … both from the same person, Russell Andert who may be @Russ?

Well, I think when we say tungsten, we are actually referring to tungsten carbide. It doesn’t need to be machined; it can be press molded.

I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of a yoyo or two that’s used tungsten rings outside of those too.

Not sure that would give reliable weight distribution

It’d have to be a copper tungsten alloy. AFAIK Tungsten Carbide is stupid hard and impractical for yoyos. The Eli Dert and Baby Dert both used an alloy and still weigh close to what full sized yoyos weigh, even at 41mm in diameter. Tungsten can only really be used on a mini since it’s super dense.
