Trust me, everyone! You should not sleep on this. It’s a very fast, fun, capable yoyo.
Think isthmus, just wider and more capable.
It’s not as round as previous TRT releases, which honestly scared me at first 
I’m a creature of habit, after all. But it does still have some organic influences.

We did pre-release a handful of solid colors at Nationals earlier this year, along with a very limited sale on our direct site. All 3 of these solid colors will be available for the official release, as well!
Fun fact: the Scrub design was codenamed Wisthmus, for Wide Isthmus 
Which is silly, because a wide isthmus would just be normal land, right?

I don’t think normal would be a word I would use to describe the scrub.
In fact, a random, very unique yoyo I can draw some parallels to, although they are not the same, is the Square Wheels Rex. It almost looks and feels like a VERY modernized Rex. In a good way. Like, an ode to. I don’t think the Rex was even considered when the scrub was created. I believe it was random coincidence that there are parallels to be drawn, but it’s close enough that I thought I would mention it. I think it’s cool!

The only inspiration drawn from another yoyo in this design is the Duncan Barracuda. Even then, the only inspiration is the width dimension! Someone asked me, “what if the Isthmus was as wide as a Barracuda?” And I said, let’s find out!

After trouncing around in the palm scrub, it’s time to go dig our toes into the sand and catch some surf!
The third and final solid colorway for Scrub is Beach Sand! This colorway has been making it’s way into more and more of our releases, it is simply sublime. I swear I can hear the ocean everytime I pick one up!

It is with regret that I inform everybody… after asking my mom for months for a “Cenote” for Christmas… she said “Not this year, it’s a bit too expensive”… it’s a sad day in this corner of the world…
