Does anyone have any tips on getting the slack in Takeshi Bounce to actually whip around? I got it a few random times, but have no idea what I did to make it happen and can’t replicate it.

Send a vid yo. Hard to just like guess what it going wrong. Probably you are pinching too early and the timing is off but idk really. Try it without pinching at all and see if the slack whips around. I prefer a soft pinch for that element where the string isn’t fully pinched down. Could be doing the set up wrong bc the yoyo should just carry the slack around.
Edit: Takeshi bounce is an element you gotta just go for also. Make sure youre not hesitating and trying to do it all step by step like just start going for fluidly right away.

Apologies, I’ll totally send a video later. I assumed there was one common mistake for initiating the slack.
But also, that comment along helps a lot because I thought you needed to be constantly pinchin’.

Nah you can actually do it without pinching at all but that way is unnecessarily hard like needs way more finesse when bouncing off or youll suck awah the slack. Learning to do it no pinch helped me get it consistent though and is a good exercise but yeah now i opt for a loose pinch bc it’s easiest imo and all the pinch/no pinch methods look the same.
Anyways that trick is dope like looks awesome and feels really satisfying to land so definitely worth learning imo if you give it a go and its still not working or hit any other problems for sure drop a vid and we can troubleshoot!

Anyone got any tips on how to make the triangle form at the end of Suspense? I got the whole trick figured out now except I can’t get the triangle for some reason.

Starting from the second half of the trick… still sloppy but hopefully you get the idea.

when you turn your hand to open the triangle when you flip the yo through at :09, rotate your hand the opposite way so that you’re palm down instead of palm up
edit: sry hopefully that makes sense. i can record what I’m taking about at lunch if @mable doesn’t get at you first
