Trick-a-Week 2025- #15 Organized

My biggest problem with the magic drop in candy Rain is getting it over the NTH…i noticed that putting my TH high above the NTH and keeping the hands close is very helpful but it’s not flowy… i think with practice i can minimize the diffrent in height and that might help the flow. Definitely hoping to get Candy Rain posted before December… hopefully

Good trick. I need to play with it more to figure out how to creatively put it into a combo.

Week 15 — Organized

@Rhythm162’s version and video showing the differences:

I don’t have a ton to say about this one — there’s just something about the flow of this trick that I really like (plus I find great joy in Gerard’s little dance).

The elements of this trick aren’t too individually tough (though the hops can be a bit tricky), but there’s plenty of room to work on getting the trick smoother and smoother.

@Rhythm162 I think I could use one of your tutorials for this one… Maybe consider keeping the dance for @digitalcharlie?

I really want to learn this. Looks awesome.

thanks for cranking it out, but unfortunately i have to point out a few inaccuracies

1:26 you DO actually want to mount that front string frim the front, the way it says not to in the video. not the easiest to see in the original tut without frame by frame

1:40 the dismount going into the 1 1/2 should roll around front to back around the whole configuration

2:42 when you roll back, you should just be rolling onto the front string leaving you in a sort of double or nothing. you’re basically rolling from a psuedo sub mount to a psuedo don

Big thanks for helping me correct it! but now
I’m super confused now with how to dismount to the 1.5 mount, cuz in the part where u say I should mount from the front, when I do that I now just get a crazy knot when I try to do 1.5 mount, and sorta confused by your explanation.

Edit: so I think I got it to work but it’s when I go in between the strings and let go, you mean like that?

sry for vague explanation. yea that dismount was odd at first. it’s like kinda the same motion you use when you do the underpass in that once you underpass and it looks almost like a wrist mount+underpass, its like a swing plus hop out of the mount, over the top of the configuration, and to the inside of your arms. then around in the same clockwise direction one more time with the release on th

im sry i don’t have a pov rig myself but if my explaination wasn’t clear enough lemme know. in the past ive successfully mounted my phone to my headlamp in a pinch lol

OH I GOT IT NOW, ITS WITH HOW I DISMOUNT OUT OF IT!!! For me it’s like, I dismounted over the string and the guy said behind the string and that’s what really messed me up, unless I just found my 3rd way to land this in a different way haha. Would you say it warrants me making an updated version of the tut?

oh heck that’s outta my wheelhouse to know what goes into it and whats worth redoing and I’d never speak for someone else’s time. is there a way to edit in a couple short correction clips rather than rerecord the whole thing? thats where my brain’s starting point is. work smarter not harder
