Staying at Clarion Hotel in North Hampton. Just staying one night but not in a rush to leave saturday so dinner after NER for sure.
Guh. Having the first day on Friday is completely idiotic. I fail to see what logic kept it from being Saturday-Sunday.
Was the venue too expensive or something?

I guess they were more worried about people having to travel late on a Sunday rather than having to get there early on a Friday. I live close by so either way I am fine with it but I can see how it can be a pain in the but. I am in favor of it being two days. Last year was LONGGGGGG. I know that PNWR was a Friday/Saturday thing and from what I hear a big success. I guess only time will tell…

Having the event be two days to accomodate the large turnout, yet scheduling prelims on a date that disregards that most of the players are school age, making it more difficult for them to compete, is ironic and unfortunate.
Will be there. Will probably be missing a class to get there, but it’s not a big deal for something as rare as a northeastern contest. Can’t wait to see everybody there and compete again.
