Well the boingy boing thing could work to an extent, less and less points the more you repeat the trick…yeah I know, serious reasoning on a not so serious statment, hehe.
@ studio-hiroyuki holds the world record for most eli hops in one minute (can’t remember the number) and some guy…I think Jesse…something, did a youtube video of 89 consecutive suicides, insane, hehe.
I just watch the freestyles, I don’t try to analyze them too much, some do look like they are just competing out there but hey maby that is their true style, just pure competition action, ehhe.
I wanna see all the CEO’s of YoYo companies have a 1a battle. Chris would probably win…but I’d still like to see them come up with routines and show us what they’ve got.
That could be cool. That would need to be a very exclusive group. That would be intertesting. The winner definitely gets bragging rights and a way cool ego-building trophy. It should be treated like the Stanley Cup where each year the winner’s name and brand gets engraved onto the trophy.
How about a “Ringers” category too. Each company gets to pick their #1(in their opinion) sponsored player in attendance and they compete as well. This can be done with their regular competition entry if need be.
These kind of fun categories would be very enertaining.
I can already see it. Someone in a jail cell talking
-I’m in here because I blew up a gas station and killed the clerk. What about you?
-I bribed a judge at a yoyo contest.
Josh stop being a hater, either play the game and compete to win or just have fun and yoyo, just because Jensen was so successful doing that and everyone is jacking his PERFORMANCE style (not style of tricks) doesn’t mean that you’re forced to do that to win, if Takahiro Izuka (i suck at speeling) or Royta Ogi (yup still suk) put down a clean freestyle they would dominate and they just get on stage and rock, no theatrical ish. If you don’t like the way things are now, then pick up a yo-yo and start innovating and go win worlds. CHANGE THE GAME.
