I’m very stuck on the last element of supercharger, been a week now. Slack tricks are very new to me and it’s a struggle that I’m trying to overcome

Just wanna say that slack tricks are not really a monolith like that and the last tension hook of super charger is def not easy bc it is a tension hook and that have a very particular feel. Kinda like a sub category of slack tricks and if you haven’t done many slack tricks at all, I would definitely recommend starting with some other kinds of slack tricks like pinch slacks where you pinch to make a slack form and then manipulate it. Like yuuki slack or Plan D

I would also categorize those slacks op is talking about as whips bc they are a slack yes but a very particular type of slack where the yoyo is hopped up to allow a slack to form and then the string is whipped. Idk maybe understanding the mechanics of how these different types of slacks work could help y’all. The super charger whip is easiest to understand and learn if you think about it as being closer to pure whip slacks like hooks where you are hopping the yoyo up (so no tension on the string between your hand and the yoyo) and that is what allows the slack to form vs a pinch slack like the one in Plan D. The supercharger whip is different than the big hooks or other whippy slacks that start from the yoyo hanging at the end of the string because it starts from a mount. The mechanics of what is allowing the slack to exist is similar though. I should also say that the supercharger whip can be done with a pinch but that adds an extra level to it and I personally think ppl should learn it with no pinch bc it will just help ppl understand how it works better. I like the pinch version also bc it has a different timing of the slack like the slack can move way slower which is nice sometimes and I like both versions.

I am really struggling with this sequence from the becko vs dkim video that I have also seen other players doing where the slack goes around and you catch the loop with the index and then kind of reverse it keychain slack style almost to hook the yoyo. Looks super cool tho and imma get it eventually.

Right after the chopsticks becko signature slack

I literally just got it down last night! The key for the last element, I learned is:

  1. Do not move your NTH arm at all, not left and right, not front and back. The only movement your NTH should make is with your wrist to get the slack going.

  2. Not only do you need to pinch the string against your NTH palm with your thumb, you also must pinch the loop around your NTH pointer finger; basically just make sure your pointer finger isn’t the only one out when whipping the slack. Having your middle finger out alongside your pointer helps to control the slack.

  3. When whipping the slack, pull the string tied to your TH at the same time, preferably down and away at a small angle. This is explained in the YoTricks tut, and goes along with the first tip. Pulling that string gets the necessary action needed to whip the string into the gap.

As mentioned in the tut, a lot is happening at the same time. After watching exactly what he did with his hand, I was able to mimic it to a point that I was able to get it. Persevere, my friend! Success is in sight!!!

Reverse Brent stole. My biggest pain

I’m at the point that the whipped slack is forming consistently, just getting it to capture is eluding me

I may just need to work on an easier trick as another poster suggested, I don’t know Yuuki Slack yet, it may be better to get some easier ones under my belt

My best slack trick is a ninja vanish from brother slack, and it’s inconsistent at best  I’ve been playing for under a year and still working out some building blocks

Yuuki Slack is the one I’m gonna tackle next. Getting the slack to form while spinning the yoyo is eluding me

Bring your hands closer together

I remember reverse Brent stoles being really difficult but then one day it clicked, one thing I think people miss about it is how you push your th forward when you do it… Idk if that’s helps anyone but that’s what I struggled with.

I’m having trouble with is the whip to upside down bounce triangle thingy idk what there called. There’s an a-rt tut called sams whips but idk what it’s called exactly

did you learn it from yotricks cuz thats where i learned it from and i can give you a tip make sure on the brother mount the yoyo is as close to your throw hand as possible that makes the slack as big as possible wich makes it easier to do ninja vanish

give it just a tiny amount of hop to give it a sec of hangtime. also make sure you flip your nth to palm down. conceptualize the pull with your th as pulling a ripcord so you want a quick sharp tug to accelerate the loop

also here is another tension slack if you’re looking for something in the same vein

I learned it from @phillipjenkins who was nice enough to show me a more fun entry that’s easier to combo into

It was muscle memory, just haven’t done it in awhile

Speaking of multifarios whip (I found the trick on yotricks), I found that if you do it vertically like this

Like rather than :hand_with_fingers_splayed::yoyo::raised_back_of_hand:, you do

:hand_with_fingers_splayed:
  |
:yoyo:
  |
:raised_back_of_hand:

It’s a lot easier

Oh dang that’s what it’s called! I learned this by accident trying to do a gunslinger mount and a hidemasa hook at the same time. Got my brain wires crossed and it came out like this and it was repeatable!
