The Jungle (house plant collector thread)

We have a ton of carnivores and a kitchen table covered in succulents. Kinda stoked to see plants here!

Cobra Lilies?!! So jealous!

No- we have had them but yhe heat here now is too much, those are Sarracenia, mostly leucophila hybrids. We get over 110’ regularly now and they seem the handle it quite well. Cobras and venus fly traps do not stand a chance where I am now (though historically did very well).

Ahhh super cool! We get up to 110 here and below 0 in winter so I can’t do outdoor carnivorous really.

I had some pretty nice pitcher plants and Venus fly traps but I unfortunately killed them all when my disability hit. They needed more maintenance than I could give. Only the hardiest plants survived.

Sometimes that is the best way to weed out the collection (sorry about the disability though).
Try Pinguicula gigantea. Those plants just want to live, beautiful flowers, eat bugs. Perfect on a windowsill (they are the ones I posted that look like Escheveria). They even do not mind hard water every now and then. They have become my favorite carnivores- super easy.
