After a solid year, and a fairly substantial investment of time and money into this fine hobby, I feel I may have cracked into that illusive category of Crappy Intermediate! I’ve got a few tricks under my belt, a variety of nice throws I’m beginning to feel the nuances of, and have ‘somewhat’ developed that relaxed, comfortable sense of familiarity and state of flow. It’s magic! Much dopamine unlocked!
I have learnt a lot from these very pages (thanks
) and have enjoyed watching you throw, often working on smaller parts of larger tricks/combos I haven’t been able complete, and weaving them into the basic elements I can consistently throw. And I’m building consistency!
I love to see/read/learn what others have done with the basics of First 50 Tricks and beyond, and how their always evolving, default, autopilot combo currently throws!
I present here, my ‘Crappy Intermediate Combo’, and debut to filming myself yoyo’ing, ‘Flowy Familiarity’
It throws -Breakaway, pinwheel, double or nothing, roll out, back flip, brother, brother slack, Houdini mount, drop strings, back flip, release finger/hook thumb, undercut to brother, curl finger in, bounce off top string as dropping finger, and come around for a 1.5 mounty recapture thingy to split bottom on side throw (from TaW 2025 week #25) 1 rep barrel rolls w/flips, come back around and into 1.5, Asia pop, catch to double or nothing, roll out, back flip, Eli hop, forward flip, double on, roll off, back flip, throw hand sweeps under yo..(is this mach 1…?) forward flip, 1 rep Curling, Guy Wright!
Feel free to ask questions on tricky bits if you fancy throwing it and get stuck on something, and please share yours for inspiration! If any of the more seasoned throwers have any nice little ditties they have come up with over the years that would be of an appropriate skill level, I’d love to see those too. Thanks plenty
Throw on homies!
