Hspin was ahead of the curve in terms of designing yoyos for looks. I’m super partial to a lot of the Good & Evil 4 editions. Water Lily is probably my favorite, but the Heart of Gold, Spingear, and Save Deth editions are also great. I personally dislike the Pyro, Cut, and Envy a lot, but they’re undeniably standouts in terms of being yoyo designs with strong aesthetic visions.

Hspin had some wild designs back then for sure.
I really love my Gorylla, what a cool design. And boy, the Pyro 3 is looker and player. I still consider it to be one of the best AL yoyos of all time. It’s so perfect.
Problem with Hspin was the myriad of response/guts variances and the lack of testing by the owners.
They also shipped models in an unassembled (and untested) state. This led to an entire batch of GnE yoyos to be somewhat re-called.

For me this colorway of the Spintime El Presidente is the winner. My pictures don’t do it justice, and, it plays every bit as good as it looks (and, I challenged myself by taking it from storage to take the picture and not throw it…self control is a bit part of the deHcade year)

Sho1 leather counterweights. Once you play leather its hard to play anything else. Great weight and the leather keeps it quite on rim hits and the rebounds are damper than bouncy balls. The leather is also soft on those knuckles as well.
