The Batsquatch

Soooo… Im heavily debating on the Batsquatch. They really got me on the hook with that army green colorway.Anyone have pre-release opinions, or better yet, played with a proto?

I was down for it but I don’t like any of the colors :frowning:

Would have preferred the clear with silver rings instead of bronze

So at first glance, the Batsquatch looks like a bi-metal Markmont Classic to me.

Can anyone compare the two in terms of play feel and performance?

Added pics from my phone now editing on my laptop so I can type more out. Just threw the two back to back to give a comparison. MMC has ultralights in it. They feel very similar but the Batsquatch has an extra layer of butter - it has a special smoothness and flow to it. The Batsquatch also has a bit more float. Batsquatch is more stable than MMC and spins longer. All things you would expect by kicking up to bimetal. Batsquatch is also like 1mm smaller in diameter and maybe 2mm in width (just eyeballing this) so it feels more compact in the hand. Catch zone is VERY similar in the two.

Batsquatch is a really quality organic. I love mine. Looks stunning and a great grind finish as well.

@Egon says it the best

Alas, that’s not too helpful to me. Those analogies are entertaining to read, but also difficult for me to decode in a way that corresponds to my own experiences.

I’ll translate. It’s comparable to my favorite organics but with more power. If this wasn’t the year of the Ti-Vayder the Batsquatch would be my best of the year. PDX-YO nailed it.

I have to agree with @Egon. It is a very clean organic. It is marginally different that the MC in size but feels much more compact and somewhat wider. Perhaps that is due to ratio in width and dia as well as possibly a more rounded profile than the MC. I can’t say it is tremendously more stable, I don’t have combos and skills that push those limits I suppose. It does feel like it moves faster with a lighter, floatier feel than the MC. I would say the weight distribution tends to keep it spinning longer.

Overall I think it looks fantastic and plays wonderfully. I’m very happy that I got it. It is not the same as the MC and won’t replace it which is good to me.

Yup. Agreed with both @Egon and @Jhonaker. The thing is basically perfect as far as a Bimetal organic is concerned. If I changed ANYTHING, it would be a smoother blast. I still have non-issue with grinds as is though.

Also black and purple. P E R F E C T.

I’m honestly surprised to see so many still available on YYE. This is easily one of the best throws of the year. If they would have dropped another batch of black and purple I would likely own two.

Yeah, I’ve been checking them out throughout the day…and they haven’t moved at all! I think only 2 of the Cranberry Reds have sold today!

I love that green. The unknown was the dopest, but the green is my favorite of these colors, then purple. But they all look amazing IMO. It’s def on my shortlist for after Xmas. UNLESS someone buys my BST stuff, then it’s back to more yospending.

Yeah, I agree…they all look amazing. I really like the Red/Black YYE edition.

But the Green is one of the nicer greens I’ve seen. I don’t have a army green in my collection yet either so it’d stand out a bit.

I can only hope the greens are still available when I can make my next impulse splurge lol.

I snagged the Batsquatch back in Sept and it’s really an awesome throw. Definitely in my “never trade” collection.
