It seems like work to me. A lot of work. I remember the days when you didn’t need a video audition to make friends. Ah! good times
Yeah, a few of us will be able to hang out at contests. 
I think the online team thing is pretty cool though. It motivates a lot of players to get better, and is a cool experience.
