I got a takeshi dice this year at worlds.
I hate to say it, but I am underwhelmed with its performance.
I’ve been making counterweights with bearings for a while now, and I’ve learned a few things. Large bearings work a lot better for adjusting string tension that A bearings do. Don’t ask me why, they just do. Sadly the takeshi dice uses a small bearing. Also, the bearing was pretty gunked up and I don’t see a way to remove it, which doesn’t help.
Secondly, the bearing is pretty far down in the counterweight. This makes taking the bead out for astro tricks smoothly pretty tough. It should have been higher up so that you can pull the bead out directly.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still way better than a standard duncan dice. I’ve just played with better counterweights.

Good stuff, decent price and no pips to be a distraction. I would prefer a larger color selection but that will come in time.
