I tried getting on my rig Sunday, but my drill will not let go of the bit that’s in there currently. I can’t get it to release its grip, starting to wonder if this old thing has met its final days.

Might be looking into a dremel soon.:sunglasses:

my drill motor wouldn’t run, the light would turn on but not spin… so i charged it and it worked.

try charging the battery then try releasing the drill bit. :joy:

@mystic just use a texas star target. I have almost figured it out :sunglasses: add a little fire and it should be right up your ally :+1: beats a trip to the tractor store :+1:

I know it’s not Sunday, but I’m about to spin up some polyester core Cotten coated string. It’s just thread I found in our sewing supplies.

I’m trying to make a string to go with my aroura colorway yoyos. I’ll post results.

It’s the best way to have a better understanding. You don’t learn much when things go right all the time.

I believe it’s called experience.

i crapped out a Nylon string today, was able to save most of it and it was close to the bearing so it didn’t matter. Still sad though.
Edit: i meant to say crapped up but i’m gonna say i crapped it out. :joy:

I made another attempt. Failed again. I think it’s because I’m using this new string. Not to blame it or anything lol. I’m gonna eat a smoothie and then come back to it.

So I successfully did one, but I only got to do 6 passes because I ran out of thread of this color. It was a tiny spool so I blame it on the spool lol.

tie a knot on the end! so it doesn’t fray.

you don’t have to tie a slipknot now just tie a simple not until you measure it out for a slipknot.

Ya, I know what you mean.

Experimenting with pretwists today.

Looks whippy :+1: do you pre twist each wrap? At work today am going to make a few strings later :grinning:

Yes each pass is twisted. I’m using the reduction of each pass as a variable in an attempt to make a springy product but not to much torsion.

Not enough reduction on the first onešŸ˜‰
