you are not throwing a breakaway. it is binding because it was thrown the wrong way. breakaway tutorial here:

then you need to bind the opposite way.

You also get the string tension to twist because you “wind the yoyo” try learning a snap start lil bro. And when u toss the yoyo its more of a movement than a toss bro
