It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. The shop has been a little busy lately helping my son get ready for next Saturday’s Pinewood Derby! It will be his last, so we want to put a good effort into it. There should be an article on our family’s Pinewood Derby success in the last few years. A local newspaper reporter is coming out to ‘challenge’ us to a good natured grudge match. For the last 6 years one of my sons have won the local Pinewood Derby. The 3 years that they were both Cub Scouts, they finished 1st - 2nd. It is always a good time.
Anyway, on to the most recent yoyo! St. Jimmy sent me a stock Hitman to be spiked. Here are the final results:

Kept the stock bearing seat. Just did it as an aluminum insert similar to some of the hubstack mods I’ve done in the recent past.
The spike ends up being a continuation of the original nipple (after it had been cut down a little). I had to dull the ends of the spikes down just a little. They were like needles after the final cut!
