Try it out on the TX S/C. If you don’t like it spin it on the stick from the kit in acetone.
It will be as new.

I’m still working on my review. I am also going to be buying some NEW bearings and sending some your way. The ones I sent, well, it wasn’t fair. However, without posting my full review yet:
I’m liking the soda cleansing. It gives a broken in feeling to the bearing and they run smooth and are ready for whatever lubrication/treatment you may wish to do, or run it absolutely dry!
I think there’s a market for these cleansed bearings, as well as a market for the cleansing process. I feel that unless people have the proper tools and materials, it’s better that they send them off for this treatment.
I don’t plan on telling the secret to the treatment so its either buy or send to me! But good half review! I don’t mind doing a couple more bearings.
Sounds good. We’ll coordinate it via PM or right here. I’m just going to buy 4 identical bearings from here and that way I’ll have some control bearings for A/B/C/D comparisons. Maybe 2 different brands, again, 4 of those for the same thing. Probably 4 YYE C bearings and 4 YYJ Speed bearings. Gotta wait for some funds to come in. Getting stiffed on a show a couple of weeks ago didn’t help me out much!

New bearing, completely clean, and acting as if broken in and smooth. Lube any way you want or run dry. Ain’t that worth something?

I’m not to sure I follow…does my treatment compare to yours? Is that what your asking?
Here’s what I think:
The Soda Cleanse treatment is nice. It speeds the break-in process along.
Part of my next set of tests include head to head comparing this to one of your bearings. I think I have a “Fresh in the package” Terrapin X.
The first set of tests I did were unfair as they were on bearings I was debating trashing. I’d rather send him some new bearings for a fair test. I’m actually going to be buying extra bearings to compare with.
For example:
a YYJ Bearing and YYE bearing. 3 each.
1 will be stock, which will be a control
1 will be cleaned by me using my methods(mineral spirits and acetone), testing, and then Terrapin X treated and tested.
1 will be soda cleansed, which will be tested as-is and then Terrapin X treated.
Then I will test them against a Terrapin X treated bearing. I just gotta buy a pair of Wing Cut bearings anyways, along with some other stuff.
No matter what I’ve tested, cleaned and used, the Terrapin X Dry Play treatment has improved spin times on every single bearing I’ve used it on. It’s become my standard. It’s worth the effort. Doing the treatment myself saves money, and while it takes a bit of practice, it’s well worth it. But, the bearings as-is are also awesome.
I need more bearings anyways, might as well stock up! We’ll be in touch!

This may be a necro but I’m not gonna start another thread for this.
