So i have $25 gift certificate...

and i was thinking of buying a plastic yoyo, as i do not have anymore (after my protostar was stolen) and would like to have one. i was thinking of buying a die-nasty because of it’s price, and then i could also get some string. what is the difference (besides the glow in the dark and the weight) in the new and more expensive dienasty.

or i could get the starlight. basically a protostar, but cheaper and glows in the dark.

or a velocity. nuff said

the thing is that the $23 yoyos would be fine, but they add up to $26 with shipping, and i do not want to have to get my parents credit card for a dollar. is there anything cheaper (by a dollar or more) that you could recommend?

I would get string and a kk

I would get the starlight.

i will not get string and a kk. in fact, that is a pretty bad idea. no offense, but someone was going to give you this lecture. kks are a handicap for those with tilted throws. it is always better to work on straight throws with a flat bearing. also, kks do not give the string the ability to slide around the bearing, making multiple string layers more grabby. kks are not for everyone. i will stick to the flat bearing.

see the thing is, i need to convince my parents to lend me their credit card, even for $1, i said that the giftcard could cover it. but i will try to convince them

Pesonally, I think its a good idea to spend a little extra cash, maybe around 5 bucks, and send a money order in, and get a StarLite.

does a center trac do the same thing?

Or you can get a kickside.Awesome yoyo for its price.

OFF TOPIC:kk and ct bearings are preference. you cant call them “crutch bearings” if you just don’t like them. i use both and enjoy them. i also use flat bearings. i don’t see a difference. again it’s all preference.i’ve had grabby flats and smooth ct’s and grabby ct’s and smooth flats. its all preference.

ON TOPIC: i suggest just saving the money, like Paolo said, a starlite is very well worth it, so is the Die Nasty. the newer die nasty is better, it’s smoother. and they will both play well. get whichever you can with what you have, and if you have some string, use it, if not, get a few.

Starlight all the way

I heard the Starlight is easy to break because of the plastic.

well thats not good, because i got a starlight.

and about the bearings, CT i like (though they are loud) because they do have the flat part. i dont like KKs because they are always grabby for me with a fair amount of string layers. but flat bearings are my all time favorite. especially 10 balls and AIGRs

all bearings are created equal.

duncan FH2 2010 ed., it can play good with mods.

1, i was stating an opinion
2, i got the starlight
3, well, not good.
4, i am locking this
