i just saw a duncan butterfly in walmart for 3 bucks and was like meh ill try that seeing as it was cool when i was younger. played with it about a week, figured theres more then up and down to yoyoing. my friend saw me playing with it and gave me a duncan dragonfly he had forever. learned trapeze without knowing what it was called, then i found this site and ordered a DM2(which is out for repairs cause i broke it on my face). now i have a 888x which i hate and i cant wait for my DM2 to come back lol.

Thank you for clarifying that it was your DM2 that went out for repairs and not your face! Although it sucks that you got hit in the face.

It’s interesting the variety of how we’re getting started.

I know how and why my kids started, they were with me when I decided to get back at it. One wanted in right away(he has a ONE, Protostar he can’t throw yet because he can’t bind, a Brain and a Raider), the other got interested after seeing my DM2(she wants a DM2, right now she has a ONE,a Legacy II, a Shinwoo LOOP and a Duncan Keychain). So, I guess depending how I look at it, I’m either a good or bad influence.
