Has anyone had any experience with recording? Has anyone broken them with a counterweight? Which brand do you have? Have any of you looked into them for recording your own tricks?
I bought a prescription pair myself and I’m waiting on them. I’m curious if anyone has posted any videos with smart glasses.
Actually very curious about this myself, as I’d much rather get a prescription pair of smart glasses over strapping an action cam to my head all the time
I assume as long as it can record 60 fps, should be pretty solid, no?
I bought a pair of recording glasses, first tried some no-name ones and then ended up with another “off brand” model that cost a bit more known as “Bleequp Rangers.”
I originally was going to give the Oakley Metas a shot but had 2 reasons not to…one is the ethics of Meta but the big one is that these only shoot in 3:4 vertical format, heavily geared towards Instagram reels.
I needed something that recorded landscape with a wider FOV and something that is actually aimed properly - the first no-name ones had me filming the sky despite me looking down. The Rangers have a much wider FOV and are more forgiving, despite currently only doing 1080p30 (an update’s coming to do 3k60, it has a 16mp chip).
Yes I got the ray ban meta blayzer opticals. The new ones they just released for prescription lenses. I needed some new glasses for the past 3 years. I am mainly getting them for audio. I figure I can make use for them for yoyoing. Although I just hit my right eyeball with a counterweight trying to front style a beesting. My glasses had slipped down with just enough space for the CW to smack me… it had me thinking I could break my new glasses. So no more front style 5a for me
