Skateboard Wheel YoYo

So I just found out these exist, has anyone ever tried one?

I’ve come across the one in the middle before and had to look it up. I believe that one is auto-return.

Memory unlocked - never tried one but I remember seeing them at Walmart after the yoyo boom had passed. Yoyos were still semi available and a common sight to find at bigbox retailers, mainly Duncan. These popped up during the skateboard/extreme sports craze of the early 2000s.

I’m just really digging the concept and was curious if they were more playable than a rock on a string!

I got my son into tech decks recently, which made me go on a bit of a fingerboard/skateboard bender

I got some nicer fingerboards that we enjoy playing with (I can actually ollie fairly well with them)

I’m also trying to learn how to skateboard myself, which I’ve been told is a bad idea for someone in their mid thirties, but haters gonna hate :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

That depends?

Would you be comparing it to a rock on a string set up as responsive?

Or OA rock set up as unresponsive?

Also consider the shape of the rock

A narrow puck shaped rock? Or a V shape rock? Or an H shaped rock? Or an M shaped rock? Or an organic shaped rock?

Can you be a little more specific?

Ya I have a fakies yoyo. It is a cool collection piece but I personally don’t think it plays great. The gap is pretty big for a starburst response, so it mostly plays as an odd unresponsive.
