I was imagining more of a… and I have trauma around vintage cars… my dad has issues… but a yo-yo with the look, feel, of some chromed out part of a vintage car. Be it a wheel, some curvy trim piece, or like an old Studebaker bullet nose. Granted some of those had retro futuristic tones so maybe it would circle back to that lol.

The anodized chrome thing makes sense, that must be why my shop finishes bronze and gold anodizing with nickel

I’ve always had a love the look hate the feel of shiny YoYo’s but a good purple or pink ano can make it better

I’m trying to split the difference on most of my designs, like the two protos you are getting (out for delivery to you today!!!) are matte finished or semi matte even the outrageously blue one, but some designs just call out for shiny. Like a chrome design, or a polycarbonate idea I’m toying with, or that shiny pocket watch.

I totally get it. I have no problem with shiny from a looks perspective at all just my brain goes ick when there’s that shiny almost tacky feel to a yoyo. Idk same issue I have with a contact coin or roller or even begleri I don’t love the hand feel and tactile is a strong part of the hobby for me but I’m just one person lol

When the waiting time is long enough you start trying to film one handed stalls that you normally can’t even do. First time I’ve been able to land these even semi consistently on any yo-yo. Forgive the horrible filming

These are the standards in which I absolutely do not adhere to and expect everyone else to adhere to this standards. I believe it is important that everyone but me adhere to such high standards everytime we except me make and share a video of yoyo content. If everyone but myself could please adhere to stringent standards that would be much appreciated. I appreciate everyone who isn’t me taking the time to put our best foot forward
