I was wondering which was better because i was having trouble deciding which i should get for my birthday. But theres always a cacth i can only get one for my birthday. Any suggestions?

The Shutter is versatile and that’s why I love it!
Both are great yoyos, and I should be receiving my Horizon next week, so I have little to no experience with the Horizon at all.
Since it’s your birthday, get a nice colorway with whichever one you end up getting

I have a horizon but I found it to be light. I am however INCREDIBLY strong…
While not my favorite throw, the Shutter, in my humble opinion, is far better that the Horizon.
If you like extreme tricks (behind the back, horizontal, fingerspins) get a horizon. If you like an all around great yoyo that can handle everything well, get a shutter.
Both are great to have, I would say start with the Shutter and get a Horizon next
