So those that know my holster designs know that I like to use NiteIze carabiners. I really liked to use the #2 Al locking S-biners but over the last year, I’ve had trouble finding more (I still have 3 orange ones left). In response I tried the newer stainless steel S-biners but was disappointed in their quality - they appear to be manufactured by metal stamping, have sharp edges, the wire-gate ends stick out of the sockets and the wire gates themselves are thin and flimsy (right in photo).
So I was a little discouraged about making future holsters. Then this week I discovered their new G-series line and I’m really excited about them (left in photo). The fit and finish is much better than the stainless s-biners, these appear to be machined and are a lot sturdier with better wire gates that are flushly retained. Much more on par with the Al s-biners. And the #1 size is pretty awesome too, it makes a clean low profile set up. I will have #1 and #2 G-series biners available for future orders.
