How do mono titaniums compare to bi-metals?
This anglam is
How I enjoy yo-yo, are the nuanced differences between the feeling each yo-yo has on the string. Objective performance aside, it’s how special a yo-yo feels that makes me personally enjoy it. Titanium feels by far the most special in play- the weight distribution, rigidity and sounds are unmatched by any other material in my opinion. This was one of three yo-yo cases I took with me to Worlds 2023 to share with fellow yoyoers.
Neat another catagory I really don’t have much to show off in and what I do have are kind of odd ball undersized throws.
I need one of these!!! @hobbygod
How does the Ti Janus play compared to a normal Janus?
Pretty similar. I got the ti specifically to play it responsive with a thick string and greased half spec bearing. It sits in my pocket and is a durable thing that I can plop out and fiddle with and not have to think or worry.
I did setup the al Janus as unresponsive and it’s a neat throw in that regard too. Technically the walls are thinner on the ti and at a similar weight looks like there’s more material on the rims so I assume for unresponsive play the ti might be a tad more stable but at the size we are at it’s probably negligible. I’ll test it at some point.
I also play the ti with UL SEs as they don’t stick out and get as damaged as the flat caps so I’ve reduced some of the center weight by a little. (For responsive play that really doesn’t matter it’s just for aesthetic mostly)
The regular Janus I just play it with the default flat SE.
Will we have a 5 years Ti-Vayder edition?
(Would love to see it in this post)
Those looks amazing, love the rims!
What do you have there? Purty!!
Good question. I wish yyfr would tell me what it is (unnamed mystery box yoyo)
Do you happen to have the specs? @zaf
