I have tried the sage classic, sage fingerspin and yyf arrow.
The sage classic is the best yoyo and is the only one I would get a second. I am hoping that yotricks will keep the sage classic even though they already replaced it with the new sage.

If you want a fingerspin yoyo get a skyva

Id splurge and get a shooting star :+1: it comes with a responsive and unresponsive bearing like the two.

I could be wrong but isn’t sage classic a one star and the new sage an arrow. Maybe I’m wrong but looks similar I don’t have an arrow to compare.

I do have the one star and Sage classic snd they can sit side by side and other than color and logo same yoyo.

The new sage has an h shape. Instead of the arrows v shape.
Yoyo tricks replied to my comment on the sage video on YouTube.

Fair. I don’t have it handy my in-laws stole my office so I have to wait till they leave tomorrow to consult the ole collection o’ yos. But I’ll trust your right.

When I started in November, I purchased a Arrow and the New Sage.

Both are very similar. You cant go wrong with either.

The Arrow, like mentioned above is more V Shaped. I find it a tad (very minimally) easier to land on the string. Especially when you are struggling in the beginning stages. It also feels lighter in the hand and on the string.

The Sage is more rounded. I find it more comfortable in my hand. Starting out, it is in your hand a lot. It also feels heavier.

For me, I leaned more toward the weight and comfort of the Sage. It seemed I could get longer spin times with it.

My kids preffered the Arrow and still play with it to this day.

Not in your requested information - But the Magic Yoyo V3 is very similar in responsive play. It is all metal and a similar price point.
