I agree, “rich gold electroplated coating” does not definitively suggest actual gold plating.
But the page also says “GOLD PLATED TITANIUM”, which IMO does.

Yeah I just saw that part on the site. $299 for gold plating is wildly low. Enso did some gold plated yo-yos earlier this year and they were closer to $600, they were aluminum, and the plating wasn’t that nice looking. Is there some cut rate gold plater in Singapore? If so send me their number!

The gold plated Mustang U is also (nearly) double the price of the . . . economy version.

Sorry about the error - I’ve amended the website. The Toasted Burgers are gold electroplated titanium. They were manufactured by FPM which I felt had the best quality (from my other experiences with electroplating past titanium yo-yos).
Also, the product photos aren’t simply recolored versions of the raw titanium photos (see how the light falls differently on the yoyo halves). Photos were shot few years ago with a colored prototype together with the raw version. We went to great lengths to recreate every shot, matching the angles and even the placement of the felt “ingredients” (the cheese, lettuce etc) as closely as possible to the photos of the raw titanium version.
