Very nice!
I was just watching this like half an hour ago, and the dual-tone look with that was fantastic!
Scotch Brite stainless steel looking think or green pad looking thing? Considering joining the club.
I don’t know. Perhaps steel will could work. I just always use the scotch brite. I actually think this might be a knockoffs, I would have prefered green even.
What I like about it is that it’s squishy though, and you can vary the pressure. It works really good with sanding something like this.
I start out with a little firmer hand and then gradually work out and then just quickly over the top really makes the titanium shine. And rotate around as I go. I think it turned out really good.
I just got back from my walk with the dog and I was trying to hit that edge of the whole walk and The string looks just fine! ![]()
These two tone mods look incredible!
Nice work! Looks awesome
I grabbed a sponge from the kitchen and scrubbed like a madman, for like 10 minutes on each side, and legit nothing came off. I looked at the sponge packaging and it said “scratch resistant.” Lol.
So needless to say, it’s staying blue, the inner blasting is gone, and the string thing is definetly a non issue for me lol. I am playing it 5A bandalore though, so if it ever eats concrete, I’ll do the Overtinkering mod.
I mean, the positive to that is you’ve certainly proved how excellent the scratch resistance is on those sponges!
At Throw-Yo, we only use the finest of tools.
Take this Bic Threading Tool I’m using to get threaders into 40 plastisol Acorn counterweights.
That came out so clean, looks fantastic, thank you for sharing
Dang, that looks great
Stress test on the Demon’s Fun. It survived perfect!
I don’t think it can spark on wet concrete. I thought people normally put the flammable material on the yoyo itself?
Also be super careful about pouring anything flammable onto an open flame.
I’m not the poster child for good decisions, haha. (The “don’t do this at home warning”)
But you can do both!
2nd “don’t do this at home warning”
I had better luck with a gel accelerant on both fronts from a sustained burn, with a tiny fluid started to help. The bigger problem is it burns out easily AND the string burns off quickly, so you’re limited on what you can do outside of something simple, fast, and easy.
I had a Yovember/Movember challenge to myself to do a trick with a yoyo on fire
(YouTube age-restricted it so you might have to open the link to the site directly)
Also just a general club fun Ti spark challenge (Side note, this was over a year ago and I still have an immaculately pristine “YYBC” clearly marked on my driveway
