Made my al proto unresponsive it’s pretty neat
Happy early Pride! During the month of June I will be doubling donations to the Trevor Project on every Demons Fun sold ($50 instead of $25)
This is just gonna come out of my pocket instead of the business fund because it’s already in the red lol, but I wanted to do something for Pride anyway.
I will also be on Vacation June 10 - 16 and any orders placed during that time will be shipped once I’m back home.
That wording was confusing 100%. I think what I meant is that it would be cool to see that “defect” on a full run of yoyos.
This is one of the greatest things to happen to me! I’m just so excited.
To me this is an awesome milestone for anyone doing yoyo, kudos for real.
Just want to say I’ve had a flurry of orders come in after this post and I greatly appreciate it and I will happily treat today and the rest of May as if we are already in Pride month and count those for the double donations. Thanks folks.
Had someone run into issues with PayPal checkout so I have now set up Apple Pay / Google Pay to make checkout easier!
I also sold more Demons Fun in the 48 hours after announcing double donation than the first month it was up for sale! Amazing! I can’t wait to tally up May’s sales and do the monthly donation.
HELL YEAH! Such a great think you’re doing here.
TLDR some people have had issues with string cutting. If you are one of them I’m sorry. It appears to be caused by the blasted finish (even on the coated ones). It seems to stop after some play time. If it’s happening to you I would like to offer either 50 strings or an extra $25 donation to the Trevor Project as compensation. Future titanium will not be blasted for releases.
If you or your family is affected by string cutting you may be entitled to compensation.
Mine’s been playing smooth, still absolutely loving it!
I can also confirm that sometimes on blasts where I’ve seen string fraying, the string will also occasionally smooth/buff the problem spots out with some extended play time, so hopefully that naturally fixes some of the people’s issues.
Was the catch zone not masked off or something? ![]()
All sides were blasted but in theory it was a light and fine enough blast to not cause issues. Turns that was wrong for at least some of them. Some of them maybe got a higher PSI or something idk. Not sure but I’m just gonna do other surface finishes in the future for titanium.
Mine has cut a few strings, which is how it became a Sewer Demon. It seems to have smoothed out now after non-stop daily play. ![]()
So glad the Sewer Demon survived, it’s a thing of legend.
I took a pair of denim jeans and just rubbed the inner shells for a few minutes and it’s Gucci. I remember needing to do similar on the Antiyo Viszilla/Bape 2
Yeah it seems to also be a common thing with blasted ti in general as well like my ti respawn (blasted) cuts strings like nobody’s business. I just thought I’d escaped the problem.
Well yeah, you have essentially made very fine-grit titanium sandpaper, ha ha.
I’m sure someone else has done, and likely talked about, but I just popped a wide MR85 in there and wow this thing jams, semi responsive (sometimes you gotta bind, sometimes you don’t). I still prefer the OG responsive setup for personal taste, but it was a cool personal revelation
