So I ordered a grasshopper gtx off of yoyoexpert, and it just delivered today. The thing is it plays really responsive. I don’t know if I just need to work it in or if someone knows what’s going on.

This sounds like a bearing problem. You have two options that I see:
- Keep playing with it until it starts to become less responsive. This is what happened with my CLYW Akita, because their yoyo bearings come pre-lubed. A couple hours of play allowed for full responsive play.
- Clean the bearing. This will 99% guarantee a completely unresponsive bearing. There are plenty of guides and videos that show how to do this; a quick Google search should help.

I just let my bearings soak in a shot glass half full of acetone for about an hour, though an hour is probably a lot longer than it needs (but an hour won’t hurt it).

You might also contact YYE and they can send you a different bearing, if the bearing is wonky. It shouldn’t be messed up out of the box!
