Can I put general yo pads in a genesis? Smooth or textured?
No. They won’t fit unless the Genesis in question isn’t a slim pad version.
And if it isn’t a slim pad, I suggest two smooths, or one textured and one gray.

A rubber one of some kind. Cut both sides of a rubber o-ring down so it’s square-ish and then glue or silicone it into the response area. That would last quite a while most likely.
any thoughts on recreation pads? How long do kpads last?
Probably a very similar amount.
It already uses K-Pads, and they last perfectly long, and a nice long time, and also my favorite response system. I don’t know why you would want to change the response system.
I had the silicone die in my legacy, silicone is messy and hellish and, Ive had to re silicone 3 times because im so impatient…
How does being impatient lead to re-siliconing?

Must not be very good at siliconing then. I do it and wait around 10 hours or so before I use it. Never had problems with it coming out.
Unless I do it before I go to bed, I wait three hours, lol
