I know how much you love data, so I will tell you with 100% confidence that… idk. It depends on the brand/model and varies every time. We’ve tried to predict which would be most popular for certain releases in the past and it’s always a surprise.

That’s not … quite what I meant. You can certainly predict that colors like brown and gold aren’t going to sell as well as the “big four reliably popular colors”, though, right?
Brown is the first to sell sometimes, depends on the yo-yo really. There isn’t a “big four reliably popular colors” that i’m aware of.

Can’t recall is gold have ever been the first to sell, I would say it’s not likely, but it has sold before other colors in the past.

Most gold yoyos don’t look too good in my opinion. Only exception being the Gold Chief, that thing was gorgeous.

Gold Surveillance looked great - like a relic out of Indiana Jones.
I like having a variety of colors, including splashes and some fades. Galaxy is one of my favorites, and many pastel colors look great. I tend to shy away from brown, red and black. Black looks sharp, but is tough to see on many backdrops. Wainbow is probably my all time favorite (clear with iridescent rings) followed by G2’s Caribbean.

Also…I’m almost afraid to admit this out loud lol…
But I don’t like splashes and acid washes. Am I alone on this? Almost all the ones I’ve seen just don’t appeal to me at all. It’s like someone sneezed paint all over the yos >.<’

I would have thought that Pang had nothing to do with the colours on the 7075 Skyva.
No you’re not alone. I prefer solid finishes myself. Just about the only splashes I’ve grown fond of are MFD splashes. And now that I have a few of those, I don’t feel the need for any more splash finishes.
