Raleigh NC Throwers

I heard that there would be a NC State Yoyo Contest this year. Anyone know any news?

I think some people near Charlotte were talking about it.
I assume it would have been announced by now though.

If anyone is interested in doing it, I have a couple venues that would be free FYI.

Although I have nothing to do with a potential contest, I wouldn’t lose hope at this early point in the year. Contests these days tend not to be announced very early.

I hope you’re right

This Saturday at 4:00 is our meeting in the Cary Science Safari for February.
Any regular members that do not attend this meet will be gossipped about mercilessly.

Great meet today, we actually had some kids, that was kind of weird.
Raleigh yo-yo club is strong (Cary chapter, original tricksters)
Also, the club Iguana overseer is getting big.

The most celebrated yo-yo club in NC is meeting this Saturday the 17th at 4:00 in the Cary Science Safari.
I usually start celebrating around 3:00 on Saturdays, but I can walk there. Please celebrate responsibly.

YoYo club this Saturday, let’s hear a litter chatter out there people.

Chatter chatter chatter.

I’ll come to the next one if the date & location are posted. I’ll keep an eye on this thread. ::slight_smile:

The club meets the third Saturday of each month, so the next one is August 19th. It is from
4:00 until 6:00 in the Science Safari in Cary at 1255 Kildaire Farm Rd. People come in from all over and we have players of all levels.

The best yo-yo club in Raleigh is meeting in Cary tomorrow.
Attendance is mandatory (we’re going to talk about Morgoroth).

He is pretty popular!

Club meets Saturday the 16th.
We are voting this weekend on expanding the meets to include juggling and blackjack so
be sure to show up and make your voice heard.

If you don’t hit on 17 you’re not really living.

Hello thrill seekers, the holiday schedule is as follows,
November 18th, 4-6 , as usual the third Saturday of the month.
December 17th, 3-5, this is the third Sunday in December, and an hour earlier than normal. Should I say normal or usual?

Wow, we have been meeting every month since May of 2015. Excuse me while I pat myself on the back for a second. Ouch.
Anyways, the almost famous Raleigh NC yo-yo club will meet again (in Cary, cuz that’s how we roll) on Dec 28th at the Science Safari. Bring a date , ladies get in free.

So every 2 or 3 years I bump this thread. We are still meeting the 3rd Sat every month at Science Safari. It’s my understanding there is a Facebook or Reddit notice but I still have hopes someone will stumble upon the club through the forum.

You guys do anything near charlotte?

No, but Ed Haponik used to have a meet north of Charlotte at a Learning Center. There was to a strong core of players down that way. They also had an NC state contest in that area some years ago.
Fool disclosure, I have no idea how younger folks communicate these days, but I would guess if you put the word out you could find enough interest to start a club in that area.
