I have a question for you. Fine folks again and I know you said yo-yos are bought based on what you like. I get that now. I have a question. Let’s say I wanted to buy a yoyo that is plastic that can be capable of beginner play and advanced but also has a fingerspin.
I’m looking for is what throws. Have the best plastic. Which ones are CNC rather than just a plastic yo-yo I would like to find a high quality plastic that will give me beginner advanced and finger spin. Yes, I bought a lot of yo-yos.
The reason I asked is I kind of want to get a nice heavy duty plastic that I’m not scared to bang around because I got to be honest with you. I’m scared to throw a couple of these as a beginner. I don’t know how many times I bounced the ring bearer off the ground or how many times I’ve hit a bookshelf. So I would rather get something that I can beat up while I’m practicing and then use my other yo-yos when I get a little bit better
I’ve heard great things about the Speedaholic XX. I have a LinkX which I like, but the rims are thinner and may be more likely to crack when hit hard, but PC is pretty durable
Shooting Star and/or Speedaholic XX, both are fantastic yoyos. I do think the Shooting Star is a bit more forgiving with finger spins due to the finish around the hub. Both work but I’m far more consistent with the Shooting Star.
Both yoyos feel great in the hand and in play, amazingly smooth.
I was going to ask you guys anyways. Can the speedholic do unresponsive and responsive or is it just unresponsive because I’m looking for something that is responsive and unresponsive
It can do both pending on what bearing is in it, a 1/2 Spec C and a shorter axle would be more responsive with thick lube
The Shooting Star comes with both
Most of these in that category can go either way and have a hub height that can fit full C and 1/2 Specs C, just make sure you use the right axle length or you’ll strip it.
