Hello everyone I have a school project where I have to talk for 25 min lol. I was wondering if anyone had a yoyoer who they consider to be one of the greatest but also a moment or routine or release that changed the course of yo-yoing.

one example: jon gates changed the world of 4a by developing the first off string bind in the mid 90s.. and binding in 1a came very quickly after that going from responsive and semi responsive yoyos to fully unresponsive yoyos. this was a major change in yoyo play.

I discovered 0a shortly after Ed Haponik committed to strictly fixed axle play for a year. Wild how all of this stuff could have been done back when I first got into yoyo in the 90s but wasn’t til near the mid 2010s that this style emerged. The Bandalores project on Instagram further grew this style of play I believe around 2018 with Ed, Drew Tetz, DocPop, and Kyle Nations.
