how does this compare to your old poly bulk string? is it the same?

Good question, they shared the same string thickness, texture, and colors minus the nylon material…and budget friendly.

The bulk poly P44 string I have does not have nylon. Is this just a rebranding of your old bulk poly string?

(edit) I just looked at the package, and it does have a line between texture and string type that says:

[ Material ] Nylon + Polyester

But when I look at the loose end of the string, I only see poly thread; i don’t see any threads that appear to be nylon.

How can you tell just by looking at the threads if it’s poly or nylon?

The pink purple string is a poly/nylon blend.
The blue/white is 100% nylon.
The green is from the box of project44 bulk string i bought a little while ago from a different online retailer.

The fuzzy thread is wooly nylon. The thread that is not fuzzy looks like the polyester thread i have used to make yoyo strings.

Ooo my threads look nothing like this really…except the green one…that’s so fuzzy lol

Here’s mine. White is kitty 100% nylon, blue is kitty fc…I def want to try some wooly nylon now tho hah

What year did you brought your p44 bulk? Curious to know!

Earlier this year. But i don’t know how old the package is.

Pure nylon has a bit of shine but tough to see that in photos and nylon in my experience doesn’t have fuzz even after a LOT of use.

ah I believe you have our old blend from 2020 with a clear box, that one has a different nylon thread from our old supplier and you probably won’t notice it since we match it with the same color as the poly ones to blend in.

We change to thin wooly nylon thread by late 2021 until today

Interesting. Sounds like there’s another kind of nylon thread out there. I’ve only ever seen the wooly nylon that Airetic was made from and the bonded nylon that BBB uses.

Yes there’s actually more than the wooly nylon types, for example like KS nylon 1.5 we shared the same kind of nylon material that we use that almost resemble to the regular poly threads (more torsion).

NYLON-EVO (Version 2)

Back in early April, we released the first version of the nylon-evo for the public masses, and in the same month, we embarked on our biggest transition yet by transferring our manufacturing department to Brunei. The machine for the nylon-evo took us forever to arrive via sea cargo, and now we can manufacture the nylon-evo string with an updated version.

This new version now has two materials (wooly nylon material and high torsion nylon material). The original version has minor issues during cutting the string and can cause the wooly nylon to unravel quickly. With the new version, we integrated a separate material to eliminate this problem which is using a high-torsion nylon material. After multiple test runs with different nylons and manufacturing methods, we successfully made a working product that is ready for the market!

The Nylon Evo is now available on sale via the website in 50-string counts. Comes with a white colorway, three different string textures, and three string types: standard, medium, and heavy.

We hope you give it a try of our unique nylon string creation for your favorite throws!
