They are identical. The only difference in the AntiYo is the finishes were different, other than the finish they’re 100% identical. I know where all of the originals are, and only one of them is in the maybe category when it comes to it being sold. And honestly, not sure how many big time AntiYo guys are around, because the 1 og kuntosh I just mentioned sat on a bst for about two weeks unsold for a really good price.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I’ve always been interested in the Washing Machine trick but that breakdown by @DocPop was fantastic and I’m going to try and learn it now (might use a bouncy plastic to try though!)
Also, fair play to @codinghorror for giving the trick a good go. Lots of different elements rather that just string placement. How are you progressing with the trick man?
Let me know if you have any questions. I’ve been meaning to do a Washing Machine episode for a while and when @codinghorror mentioned that he tumbled his yo-yo in a dryer, I knew it was finally time.
When you do the UFO long enough you start to realize how easy it is for the yo-yo to plop out of the string. Once that happened, I made it my mission to find out how to get it off the string, then back on again. Once I had my objectives, it wasn’t too hard to figure out how to get the results.
Well, every topic has to fight for placement on the front page of the subreddit. So when a topic you don’t “like” makes it to the subreddit front page, a certain small vocal minority of Reddit people take it real personally. If that kind of thing happens every week… they take it even more personally.
It’s really a problem with the design of Reddit, more so than the people. Here there’s no problem creating a niche topic or bouncing an old, relevant topic to get more detail or add more information. That’s basically impossible on Reddit.
Hate is a strong word Gregory! I don’t hate it, but I do think it’s a super bad fit to the yo-yo community, mainly because of the downvoting.
(My issue with Facebook is more about one company controlling all the things, not so much the design of Facebook. They should never have been allowed to buy Instagram and Whatsapp.)
