Polishing oxidized yoyos

Can you polish a yoyo with oxidized rims without sanding?

Baking soda or Mothers.

best thing to do it use a little 0000 steel wool lightly then polish. Easiest way is by using never dull. takes less time. Just use rubber gloves. It’ll turn your fingers black. lol

Not a full mirror polish, but better than oxidized rims. Before: http://img.tapatalk.com/d05dbd47-59cb-de0a.jpgafter: http://img.tapatalk.com/d05dbd47-59e6-29e2.jpg

Not to be nosy. It looks nice.

What make and model is the yoyo, and what did you do?

I’m not doing a pop quiz to see which advice you followed. I am asking to help improve my knowledge as I’m debating doing some polishing on some of my yoyos as well and just want to see what people are doing and the results they are getting.

First off it isn’t that shiny, but is alot better. Second of all, the yoyo is a yoyojam equinox. All I did is steel wooled the heck out of it. I also did a Hitman, which was a lot shinier. Pics of it will be up soon.

Maguire’s car wax and cotton rag work great
