Pickle what's the right play?

BST a bit of conversations with one buyer, others chimed in interested if it falls through.
Boxed up and ready.
Buyer goes blank for a day and a half.
Posted on the thread - “buyer ghosted.”
Second one interested went for it right away, so I labeled it to ship.

Original buyer chimed back in. Oh I’ll send money now.

How do I handle this - Someone is going to be upset.

Oh! The first person lost their chance if they didnt communicate that they were gonna be late and you agreed. Its not your responsibility to wait!

I normally say pending and if the person doesn’t communicate or pay me in 24 hours, I message them and let them know I put it back on market

You waited a day and a half, that’s better then me

Whoever declines and says naw give it to the other person because it has to be left whole, that’s the yoyo’s true mother :head_shaking_vertically::head_shaking_vertically:

I was just kidding about the 1/2 thing.

I have sold many yo-yo’s. The person who pays first is the one that wins. I refuse to ‘hold’ a yo-yo for this very reason. If you do not have the money to buy it now; then you cannot buy it or ‘hold’ it now. Asking to ‘hold’ it is just saying ‘I will gladly pay you next Thursday for a hamburger today’.

Make them compete with a game of “TRICK” , like skate but for yo-yos lol

what was last said a day and a half ago when you last spoke? like how did it get left? everyone doesn’t always log onto forums every day so i think how you left it matters impo

I agree with that. I went back through the message string to be sure there wasn’t a ‘can you give me time’ comment.

Regardless I like to hold up to my word. It made me sick to my stomach.

The way I feel about this selling stuff is I make nothing selling these and the time and effort to pack and go to the post office to ship completely overrides any monetary value in the deal IMO.
Same goes for what amount someone offered a yoyo for sale. I typically just say ok because it may be one I want and I’m lucky to find it and talking down $10 or $20 isn’t going to save me from myself.

A day and a half is too long. There is no reason once conversation is started it should take more than a message or two.

“I’d like to buy this”

“would you like to pay paypal, cashapp, venmo?”

“paypal”

“ok pay here, and send me your address”

that first person’s lost their chance in my book.

Just a note: ONLY send the item to the address on PayPal. If they have moved; have them update the address on PayPal before you send the item.

This is because the buyer can initiate a claim against you if you did not send it to their PayPal address. PayPal will look for a delivery-confirmation to the address listed in PayPal. If you do not have a delivery-confirmation to the PayPal address; you may be on the hook for the costs.

I speak from experience.
