Pay it forward- Parallel Motion

Package received

I was surprised to get so much stuff! What in the world do I do with it?! Am I correct in assuming that all contents need to be included when shipped?

Also, what’s the specs for this?

You can pick some goodies for yourself, and add some stuff you think would be cool to share, and send it on (when you’re ready)

I realize I never gave a final review for the Parallel. The honeymoon phase ended about halfway in. I don’t take back what I said at the beginning of my time with this yoyo. Under other circumstances, I would have bought it. Light, fast, and solid are how this felt on the string. Fabulous for learning new tricks. Very fun to play with.

Sadly, and while I do understand this is probably due to it being a PIF and not mint, the fun factor was interrupted by it feeling quite rough on the string. Any time the yoyo was sliding along the string (superflow is a good example), you could feel the string rub against the wall of the yoyo, I mean the step off the bearing. This could have been due to the fact that the pads were starting to rise from their channels, but I’m not sure. It also had some vibe that would never quite go away, which I’m sure could’ve been tuned out, but as I have no experience resetting steel rings in bimetals, I didn’t want to damage what wasn’t mine to begin with and left it alone.

Maybe someday in the future I’ll get another chance to try this, because I really want to give it one. I felt like this had more to offer. I’m willing to give it the benefit of the doubt that the particular unit used for this PIF does not fully represent what the Parallel can do.
